But, maybe it is helpful to this whole general discussion, so I will throw this out there. In my situation, I had already made the decision to cheat, at least somewhere deep within my gut, if not quite fully formed & acknowledged in my head, before I met the man I had the affair with. I did not "stumble" into or get "swept away" by anything. And I don't think he did either
