Outlook 2007 install problems

I'm trying to install Outlook 2007 over Office XP. The install runs fine, but when I bring up Outlook, it crashes. I get the usual screen where it sends a report to MS, but I... the updates from the Windows Update. No change. The only unusual thing I see is that Outlook starts by asking about the LDAP server, which doesn't exist. I'm running XP pro SP3. I could use some help here since I'm going nowhere fast. Thanks Jack

This works quite well if the computers are close; mine are never more than 25 feet apart. Jim

Hi, I am trying to map a drive to an XPe Image from a XP Pro machine, but i am having no luck what so ever. the furthest i get is being asked for username and password. once i enter the details,the window just comes back asking for details again. I have got the firewall turned off, firewall sharing component installed, with the server service running. If someone please could give me some advise.
