... piece may come off or the tank can split open without ejecting a chunk. The other failure is called Sustained Load Cracking and that seems to be confined to tanks made of 6351 alloy. It appears such can start anywhere in the tank wall but that's not detailed. Nowhere have I found a reference to 6351 being used in non-SC[U]BA tanks, such as Boeing installed in this case. But it appears the US is a lousy country to base data on, since ...

> I mean by this, exactly how *real* is any of this crap that goes on in any stock market in the world? Aren't you seeing how very, very real it is - in some cases painfully real - right now? We're seeing how the Fed is using taxpayer money via regressive stagflation to make it as painless as possible for the rich. They'll do _anything_ rather than admit that free speech is a precondition of a free market economy. ...

If you are in the Ozarks, tornados slide down into a canyon, one side rubs against the canyon walls, and they just unwind. Tornado alley is down on the delta. One possibility for CA is to split off the north. Where the water is. Then turn off the water. Everyone in the south will leave. I read its become trendy for the rich to buy land in the north for wineries; in my neck of Ozark woods, its hobby farms, mostly cattle and horses. ...

So, a programmer with an imperative background coming with the question "is assignment written x = y or x := y or what?" is going to find himself looking at indecipherable wall paper rather than self-revealing code. (But, again: everything below the citation given is just my intuition and understanding of what people like Harvey have reported -- so don't blame them if it's complete BS.) -t

... unpopular President. The good news is that the vile times may be ending. The coming debates will decide this race, and it isn't easy to tell lies when your opponent is standing right next to you. The Wall Street collapse demands a more sober campaign as well. But these dreadful weeks should not be forgotten. John McCain has raised serious questions about whether he has the character to lead the nation. He has defaced his beloved ...

... water." Last winter, the valve between the sewage plant and the drinking-water plant whooshed open, and a new era in California's water history began. When I visited the plant, a sprawl of modern buildings behind a concrete wall, in March, Wildermuth, in a blue sport coat and bright tie, acted as my guide. "Quick!" he shouted at one point, mounting a ledge and clinging to the rail over a microfiltration bay. "Over here!" I clambered up ...
