Like you said, I see what you're saying. But this is something manageable. Yes, nations with looser gun laws do have lower gun crimes, but often they have a lower non-gun crime rate as well; they are less violent. Denmark has extremely restrictive laws on gun ownership, but the people are not violent: a stabbing makes national news.
