...? My wife bought a carry on bag with wheels and retractable handle. It has a laptop compartment and her Dell 13" notebook fits into it perfectly. The luggage also has plenty of other compartments for things like toiletries and other necessities that would be needed if your checked luggage went missing. It would take an overtly, deliberate and somewhat stupid effort to lose such a thing, other than having it forcibly stolen from you. ...
