If you're interested to know what sci-fi related events are going on in Australia you might be interested in this website www.fannishinquisition.com I expect the aussie stuff will be kept fairly up to date because it's run by someone in Au. Mostly focuses on Stargate/Firefly but there's plenty cross-over events - like a Robert Picardo event in Sydney Feb. for example

... landscape. I wasn't sure about Bebop, I was thinking our characters just ran into a lot of it, while its part of the opening narration of OS.
