.... But by that stage the point was made. One individual took the spotlight for a moment at an event where the world was watching. He did it because he was tactical about his protest, deciding to infiltrate and subvert a carefully coordinated speech. With an overwhelming police force ready to crush dissent at a moment's notice it may be time for new strategies to unfold where protesters issues are forced to be acknowledged by those that ...

... If you set a pointer to point to a nonpointer protected target, you would have just opened a potential way for that protected object to be changed, possibly in contexts that are impractical for the compiler to diagnose, thus subverting much of the point of the protected attribute. But when a pointer is used as the data-target or proc-target in a pointer assignment statement, you don't get anything pointing to that pointer (in fact, you ...

... quantum mechanics and the civil service. And why is there another one in Frome, Somerset? There's also a Wivenhoe Close in Peckham. THE MYSTERY DEEPENS! A MYSTERY! I don't see any mystery. If there was no street in London with Wivenhoe in the name, that would be more of a mystery. You think? Are there streets named after all of England's umpty hojillion villages in London? tom -- Subvert the paradigm!

I can't remember how one gets to it from Tottenham Court Road, unless there's a contraflow bike lane there. There isn't. You cross over TCR, then come down Huntley Street to Torrington Place. I think. If you're coming from the western end of the SSL, on New Cavendish Street, that is. tom -- Subvert the paradigm!

... well. And even if they can, once they've spotted a cyclist (or a pedestrian, or a horse rider, or a driver) being naughty they thenr have to dispatch someone to go and nick 'em, by which time it's too late. if it's a driver, they just note the plate and send them a fine. Non-plated road users can't be caught in this way, but then they account for a tiny fraction of dangerous road use. tom -- Subvert the paradigm!

They have to use the Bakerloo somehow, or change at Harrow and use the fast service between there and Euston. There's a leaflet about it: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/london-overground-temporary-closures-leaflet.pdf tom -- Subvert the paradigm!
