Why is it surprising that patients can  believe they can see when they can't? Sonograms convert sound data to visual data. ... dolphin think those clever sea mammals are laughing at us behind our backs on porpoise. I wonder how a dolphin or a whale might pun. And since ceteceans rely on sonar might they not be proving that a picture (sonogram or sonograph) is worth a thousand words? Let us not be limited in our understanding by dryland chauvanism. And then there is the VLF communication of elephants who are in many respects a damned sight smarter...
