Scientists are still looking for consciousness. They are doing an amazing job of mapping the brain, but are no closer to this discovery. They can observe miniscule quantities of energy 'sparking' through synapsies, and can watch those connections reforming to suit prevailing conditions, such as onset of blindness etc. As exciting to the observer as any Hubble telescope observations.(Observing life, is observing life be it micro or macro)...
