Outlook 2003 was not a minor upgrade. I don't know where that idea came from. My upgrade to vista was around $900 - including new computer with vista preinstalled ($700 + ... to you, then you should not upgrade. Outdated? It is only a generation and a half old (isn't 2003 a minor upgrade to Office XP?). It is MUCH better than the new, user unfriendly 2007. It works fine. Why should I be forced to replace a ...

... blocking the message. Are you able to look at the mailbox using a web based reader? Can you see the message you BCC'd there? Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on? Are there differences in the information that is sent to the server from Outlook Express versus that which is sent from Outlook 2003 and 2007? While there will be some minor differences, SMTP is SMTP and OE/OL should be the same. -- -f.h.

... his New Deal. But he wasn't alone. He represented the New Deal Coalition. Check that. He represented the New Deal Coalition. It was farmers. It was union workers. It was progressive business people and bankers. It was minorities, it was students, it was intellectuals. There was a coalition. And that coalition picked up the government that had been on the side of the problem makers, and dumped it out, and put it down on the side of the ...

....net: We've never had a flake as president. We've had drunks, neurotics, cripples, louts, and fools, but never a career screwup. Whaddya call Bush?. He's been a screwup at everything he's tried in life. Name one occupation he's been good at. He's been really good at convincing the majority of people to vote for him all his life. You can't even convince a minority of people that you're sane Judy.

...a lot of software that doesn't work on vista... and if a certain program is important to you, then you should not upgrade. Outdated? It is only a generation and a half old (isn't 2003 a minor upgrade to Office XP?). It is MUCH better than the new, user unfriendly 2007. It works fine. Why should I be forced to replace a perfectly adequate program just to put unnecessary money in Microsoft's pockets. I would rather downgrade...

Hi, Xah. One small but important point you made: On Thu, Sep 18, 2008 at 04:50:50PM -0700, Xah Lee wrote: Here are few minor reasons: * When the scratch buffer is closed, emacs does not prompt user to save it. This easily causes data loss. The other side of the argument is that *scratch* is intended for temporary, unimportant doodling, and for anybody who uses it this way, being continually prompted to save it would ...

Oh, it may help you to know that only a very small minority of people "reel out of the pub drunk". The vast majority leave whilst still sober. Where you & I live there is no problem with PT late at night, in other areas there aint no PT at night. Or in ...

... have been leached out long ago. Its why the electorate got stupid enuf to put in Republicans. Poor Americans have used food stamps to buy junkfood and are grossly obese, which dramatically reduces lifespan. Then too, the minorities in particular dont have the genetic endowment to resist diabetes. Were we to match white income levels in both Europe and America, the diff would be a lot less. They are seeing the same health problems ...

One time my niece was in minor stress, over here with her two daughters. The kids were also stressed out and wanted comfort food. So at dinnertime SimonP improvised "hot dog pizza". And it was good!
