As often pointed out in this group, journalists and editors write dumb things about aviation (and many other subjects). My all-time favourite was in the SMH some years ago when there was a solar eclipse. It was reported that because it got dark for several minutes, aircraft had to circle Mascot Airport until it was light again. Can anyone top that?
