... odor of apricot, the Java with a sharper odor of orange. Â The year old Assam that I'm finishing up smells more like- how do I put this? tea. Â Â Toci Side-by-side brewing- the Malawi wet leaf takes on more of a grapefruit odor; the Java stays milder. This transfers over to the brewed teas. The Malawi, brewed three minutes, is darker than the Java, brewed four minutes. The Malawi tastes perhaps like the husks of black walnuts. I ...

... what they thought of it. You absolutely should be able to make hash from fresh weed. I'd freeze it first, however, to harden up those trichomes as they tend to be sticky and have an affinity for sticking to the lighter leaf material and be tossed out in the top skim. Frozen, they are much harder than the rest of the plant material. While frozen, the bud can be chopped up (I use a nut grinder with glass jar and metal top parts) ...

.... You might panic and start scraping your tongue. Ill bet youll like the unabashed unapologenic nofrills single note taste. After awhile the aftertaste turns to perfume which fills the nostrils as it leaves the tongue. The infused leaf is very sticky. You can simply remove with a spoon. Whenever things get out of kilter I drink this, when things cant get any better I drink this. I dont drink this tea everyday because if I did ...

...>if i used too much the jasmine quality was almost chemically artificail. reminds me of chrysanthemum or marigold flower smell in the garden, a little is nice, but rub it in your fingers really well and it is overwhelming. I thought about trying it with about half the amount of leaf. I'll do that tomorrow. Do you brew it the same amount of time or longer? Mixing with an unscented green is a good idea. I'll also try that. Thanks

I swish pots and cups with boiling water more for hygienic rinse than anything else. Also it helps eliminate previous ordors plus enhances the initial aroma of the dry leaf. I can see preheating teaware if there is a temperature contrast. For many years I drank out of large porcelain mugs and on the cold mornings I thought I was at an A&W drivein because I was too lazy to preheat. Jim Natarajan Krishnaswami wrote: Hi all, ...

I would do this even if pre-heating did not make any difference, just to flush out dust get leaves to open up more if the tea is whole-leaf. I don't preheat the second, thin-walled glass pot where I pour tea after infusion. I would say that with thin glass pots this is completely unnecessary, with thicker glass pots I'd have to experiment but my guess would be it ...
