... number than his IQ and both numbers put together and multiplied by 100 don't come anywhere near his mouth size. Rifleman: (Bragging), In my regiment, when we presented arms all you heard was, slap, slap, click. Kilted Soldier: In my regiment, when we presented arms, all you heard was, slap, slap, jingle. Rifleman: What was the jingle? Kilted Soldier: Oh! Just our medals. -- Auld Bob Peffers, Kelty, Fife, Scotland, (UK).

...he is getting fewer chances to play first team football, no chances of international caps and is out of the shop window while in the fire. On the other hand look at Rob Jones. He comes to Hibs for a song, he plays himself in and becomes a first choice. He is in the shop window and he has teams down south making enquiries. Moving to the Auld Firm carries the risk of obscurity. -- Auld Bob Peffers, Kelty, Fife, Scotland, (UK).

... I quoted at the start. Riordan is NOT playing first team football. You will also recall that before Riordan parted company with Hibs he was doing a whole lot of bench sitting too. Which was one of his prime reasons for getting upset with Hibs. Now just why do you think the, (then), Hibs manager was leaving him on the bench? Could it be the manager was telling him something? -- Auld Bob Peffers, Kelty, Fife, Scotland, (UK).

...the position he was in was to pass it to a team mate in a , "Better", goal scoring position. Try telling that to James? He did the unexpected and it not only fooled his team mates but every other bugger in the park too. You do not squeeze people like McFadden into a mould but neither do you play too many of them on the feild at one time. -- Mike Dickson, Edinburgh -- Auld Bob Peffers, Kelty, Fife, Scotland, (UK).

...Hearts. Team: Gordon, Hutton, Naysmith, McManus, Weir, Ferguson, Pearson, McCulloch, Dailly, Miller, Brown, Malone, McFadden, O'Connor. So how many of those players were the product of the big two youth policies and how many were signed by the big two away from other SPL teams who first brought them to the SPL? Then also check out the squad players not involved in that game. -- Auld Bob Peffers, Kelty, Fife, Scotland, (UK).

...> Get real! They fly the Republic of Ireland Flag for heaven's sake? They have it's colours as the team colours. They play little else but Irish Republican music over the tannoy. The other lot are the exact opposite with Northern Ireland being the country in their case. That and the Loyal Orange Order. The pair of them are still bloody-well fighting the Battle of the Boyne. -- Auld Bob Peffers, Kelty, Fife, Scotland, (UK).

...to divert the sectarianism towards anyone else but the Auld Firm. I ask again, what other teams in Scotland are still associated with either Catholicism or, not only Protestantism but the Loyal Orange Order. Once, long ago, there was a bit of the same around Easter Road and Tynecastle, but this died out some years ago. You will not see a foreign nations flag fly at Easter Road. -- Auld Bob Peffers, Kelty, Fife, Scotland, (UK).

..."The questions asked were not, "What race is he", but, "Is he a Catholic", told no they said, "Well that's all right then". I kid you not, they were on TV and in the national; press. So there it is - the subject is, SECTARIANISM, and, without doubt, the Auld Firm are the very worst culprits and own their alliance to the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland rather than Scotland. -- Auld Bob Peffers, Kelty, Fife, Scotland, (UK).
