Cor! Two requests in a row! Gary played "Get Dancin'" by Disco Tex and his Sex-O-Lettes earlier. In my memory that song is indelibly intertwined with "Play That Funky Music" by Wild Cherry and "Benny And The Jets" by Elton John. When I was a kid I used to be in the Boys' Brigade. Parade night was on a Friday night but there was a club night on Wednesdays. This was in the days long before Playstations and so we had table tennis, ...

...direction* of motion. The speed of electromagnetic radiation, "c", is not a vectorial quantity in E = mc^2. It is scalar. Yes, i know this could probably be argued until all our hairs fall off. So do so if you like. "c" is a scalar speed, not a vectorial velocity. happy days and... starry starry nights! -- Indelibly yours, Paine Ellsworth P.S.: Thank *YOU* for reading! ... This is fine, and this is why we stop things in time in our imaginations. However, in reality, there is no such animal as a non-moving coordinate system -- "system wide" or not. You are not the first to confuse reality with what you have imagined, and you won't be the last. happy days and... starry starry nights! -- Indelibly yours, Paine Ellsworth P.S.: Thank *YOU* for reading! ... be a natural constant after all. So on this particular issue, you appear to be "right on". At first, such a realization would seem to negate the theory of relativity. Instead, it would ultimately help the threory, refine it, and lead to an even clearer picture of reality. happy days and... starry starry nights! -- Indelibly yours, Paine Ellsworth P.S.: Thank *YOU* for reading! ...to do is build a video game, a simple static coordinate system is adequate. But, when you want to try to understand the Universe, it can get a little more complicated. And considering time as a 4th dimension can aid our understanding of the many and varied complicated motions. happy days and... starry starry nights! -- Indelibly yours, Paine Ellsworth P.S.: Thank *YOU* for reading! ...your three-coordinate system. And since this is impossible, because in the real Universe EVERYTHING is ALWAYS in motion, time has to be a very real dimension. When time is considered, then one can begin to see how all the spatial coordinates change value WHEN THE SYSTEM MOVES. happy days and... starry starry nights! -- Indelibly yours, Paine Ellsworth P.S.: Thank *YOU* for reading! ... at the point of victory? Or is the metric of winning the fact that you are still talking? And the fact that one is still talking doesn't say much in this medium. It's like an innocent man starting 30 years in prison by saying, "Hey! I'm still breathing.
