...we saw a lotta rain as hurricanes came in. Farmers are grateful; they'll get 3 good cuttings of hay up here. If the trees get enuf rain, then the canopy dont dry out, and the transpiration keeps the forest cool, albeit humid. I read CA had a 3,000,000,000$ deficit. Part of the surplus in AR is the sales taxes on real estate to all the upscale flatlanders buying hobby farms, and part is from the Fayetteville Shale gas field. Which now...

...is the place to be, particularly since it has a mild climate, excepting the tornadoes of course. I can deal with that as long as the humidity is not as high as it is in lots of the South, where 90 percent plus humidity in summertime is a normal condition. That's one climatic condition I cannot tolerate for long, being from a hot, but dry/arid climate like ...

... icewater hash. If you feel it will survive long enough to make it to harvest, let it and then freeze/make hash. Around your remaining plants, be sure to keep the air moving! Stagnant air invites mold. The leaves should always be rustling slightly, day and night. This aids the plant's transpiration as well as inhibiting mold. Humidity should be kept lower if possible as a plant nears maturity too. Good luck! BudBurner

... eg the acacias, wattles, and saltbushes. It all adds up eventually to change the local sub-climate system. Everyone knows evaporation from vegetation leads to local rainfall nearby, because it pushes the atmospheric humidity conditions to a tipping point that will cause rain. That tipping point is a set %% all things being equal, that has not changed since earth began, unless physics has all of a sudden switched tack. ...
