...ice, but knowing that doesn't help much.) The only solution I've found is to go slowly and microwave on low power in short bursts with a fair bit of time in between each, to let the heat disperse to the colder areas. But, this ends up taking so long that I'm no better off than thawing it in warm water in the first place. -C Hi Chris, Here is something I tried in the distant past. I can't even recall ...

Mine has three "thaw" cycles, which work reasonably well. But I still do what you describe if the package is over a pound. ... How could such infrared photosynthesis look like? We need about ten times more photons ... The problem with infrared photosynthesis isn't the number of photons necessary to be absorbed. The problem is that a colder heat reservoir is needed. Lets consider standard visible light photosynthesis. The light shining on a green plant comes from the surface of the sun, which is about 5000 degrees Kelvin. The origin of this light is...

Surely even with not much wind the colder heavier water should sink below the warmer water. The dam in question is quite large probably 1/2 a hectare and has got good inflow from a small stream. Wondered how the warm water could sit on the bottom even ...
