... by a significant margin. The other part of that equation is whether and whose votes are being counted. There's quite a bit of agreement across the political spectrum that America's electoral system is deeply flawed, and whether one believes its biggest problems are hackable voting machines and Republican voter suppression or Democrats registering people who are ineligible to vote, the polls aren't going to say whether it will be a fair...

... convicted for an alleged murder of a Savannah police officer in 1991. "This case illustrates the deep flaws in the application of the death penalty in this country," said former U.S. President Jimmy Carter.... despite serious new doubts about Mr. Davis' participation in the murder of which he was accused. Serious flaws during Davis' trial and post-conviction phases warrant reconsideration of his conviction and sentence. There was no physical...

... a mess.. I do not think anyone could document fully in specifics. However on a small scale, Enron gave a good glimpse into the basic flaws and with the taxpayer 'bailout' many of the core flaws will just be hidden, renamed and lay in wait to rise again, I am afraid. No, the consumer is not to blame. Some consumers have ...

As has been pointed out to you many times motorists do get punished and non motorists often avoid jail for crimes that invovle someone dying. Its a complex and flawed system. Of course the fact that, ignoring this case, you want faultless motorists to go to jail certainly must biase your views. Fod

And if such a shift is to come will it be mediated by Asperger-like people who fail to be awed by the flawed products of our creativity and cling instead to a dogged truth?
