Today I finally got a flight in - and a chance to fly - a gyrocopter. I've been fascinated by these aircraft ever since I was in my early teens and have been meaning for years to get a flight in one. This particular was a German-built two-seater powered by a Rotax flat four engine, based at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire. I left Newmarket in good time at 6:30, which was just as well, as the A1
