AHA....I think we are getting nearer.... There is NO "Mailto:" protocol in the 'Protocols section...... So how do I fix that then..? Go back to the Default Programs applet, but this time click on "Associate a file type or protocol..." When that screen finishes loading, scroll down to the bottom where all the protocol assignments are shown. Thanks... Checked this setting... everything is showing correct.... Still cant click an email adress "Link" to send mail... still responds with:- "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed." Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs." After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow. -- Gary VanderMolen
