I think I'm the PHP coder Carl was talking about... Think of Run BASIC as self-contained LAMP stack, but instead of LAMP it's WSSB: Windows, Seaside, SQLite, Basic. Speaking from my own observations as a PHP/Perl coder, with some

Thanks for the heads up. I know it's probably six or seven years old, but it hasn't been turned on in two or three years, so I might be able to get a few years from it. Does anyone still make AT

I dug out an old AT PSU (power supply unit?) that works great. I should be able to use it and a couple of IDE-to-USB adapters to pull this off... Right now I have a pair of external drive enclosures plugged into a power strip that

Is it possible to use a computer (AT or ATX) power supply to power several external drives without using motherboard? Rather, how do you get a power supply to turn on without having it connected to the motherboard? Is there a standard to do this, or does it vary from supply-to-supply? I'd love to be able to use one of my spare power supplies to build a homebrew "Drobo", but I'm not sure

A friend of mine just got a Dimension 9100. He was setting Windows up, it asked for him to plug in his DSL modem, he did, it crashed, and now it won't reboot. It keeps locking up at the BIOS screen; the status bar gets about a 5th of the way through and freezes. I had an Optiplex that did this once, and all I knew to do after some research was to salvage what hardware I could and get

I'm surprised, as several ARM-based CAB files I've tried to install (to name one: the Embedded Visual Basic Run-time) have all failed. I'll give it another try, though. Thanks. -- Andrew

I'm having a dickens of a time finding this, what kind of processor does the T-Mobile Dash have? I mean, I've found that it's an 800Mhz OMAP processor, and I believe that's by Texas Instruments. However, when setting the compiler to a processor type, what should I choose if OMAP isn't in my list? -- Andrew Burton tuglyraisin@aol.com http://utilitarian.us - A Guide to Esoteric Technology
