Well if you pronounce "filz" it would sound like fills. So I'm guessing that the query fills a listbox or combobox - that is it is used the row source for listboxes and comboboxes. As far as the dimmed icon goes, I have no idea unless you are correct and it is hidden and you have Show hidden checked.
