... were aggravated by heavy rain and ice. I wouldn't dare speculate on the cause of the crash but conditions were certainly unpleasant. The occupants of the aircraft were well known in the industry and will be missed. I've seen 2000 fpm rates of climb in a glider in relatively tame wave off the Mount Lofty ranges. God knows what you'd get off the Great Divide in 40+ knots. Coop
