...It has that puffed rice breakfast taste you remember from your childhood. Surprisingly, it makes a good iced tea.  I'm going on to other greens and mixtures for the autumn, but want t leave my options open on this one.     Toci I think genmaicha is the only tea I just can't seem to like. I'm not sure why, either. Maybe I will try it iced, though, just to give it another chance.

I got it the same time and place, two years ago at an herbal store, as the genmaicha I just finished. so it's rather old, but not apparently stale. This is a green tea that may have been roasted a bit too much by mistake, so they fixed it by mixing it with roasted rice? It has that puffed rice breakfast taste you remember from your childhood. Surprisingly, it makes a good iced tea. I'm going on to other greens and mixtures for the autumn, but want t leave my options open on this one. Toci

Kukicha (green or roasted) is also a neat side path to wander down. Genmaicha is totally out for me as I don't like it so I couldn't speak to it at all....
