I like when new species are discovered as long as they come about naturally...not sure how I feel about man made species being introduced.... but I heard that scientists have discovered a way to complete gene sequences and make completely new forms of life now. ... to. When Vista SP2 boots, just for a moment the correct name appears. But then, the names change to something like what I showed above. I tried System Restore and ERUNT - no luck. ... that it's been several weeks since the last scheduled scan, yet the scanner scheduler is set to run every night. We close the laptop cover each night and I'm not sure if closing the cover stops the scheduled scan from running. Thanks in advance for your assistance..............Paul C. -- Gene E. ..., I am completely lost on what to do. Setting the BIOS to start with CD-ROM has no effect unless you have a bootable CD-ROM in the drive... In my experience, taking the system repair option will help - but it takes a very long time - long enough to make you nervous. IIRC, it was *well* over a half hour in my case.
