He should get 'hard time' but in all likelyhood he will get the soft
suspended sentence that Robert Latimer ought to have received. O' course
that's a whole other hornet's nest.

Mike was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. Linda was really
angry. She told him, '"Tomorrow morning I expect to find a gift in the
driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less than 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE
THERE!!"
The next morning Mike got up early and left for work. When Linda woke up
she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box, gift-wrapped in
the middle of the driveway.
Confused, she put on her robe, ran out to the driveway, and brought the box
into the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Mike has been missing since Friday. Please pray for him.

On the news it was revealed that they were the grandchildren of a very large
extended family living in poverty on a reserve with alcohol and substance
abuse problems. That should sum it up pretty well. This story is the
product of probable inbreeding, minimal intelligence, alcoholism, and
general all around hopelessness that is rampant on a reserve.
I don't think this person will ever suffer any real lingering guilt for what
he has done until he has escaped the hell hole he is in, and develops an
intellect capable of grasping the gross enormity of what he has done. Any
degree of corporal punishment doled out, will never undo, or prevent such
horrible things from happening again. This man may serve little jail time
if any, and return to his wretched way of life. He will feel sorry for what
he has done for a while, or at least until the comforting fog of alcohol
takes over his dead end world again as he sires a few more unfortunate
offspring as his father and his grandfather did before him.

An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years.
He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of
hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%%.
The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said,
'Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear
again.'
The gentleman replied, 'Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and
listen to the conversations. I've changed my will three times!'

i can't be the only one in winnipeg that really does not give a flying fig
about the upper fort garry site. It is much the same as i feel about most
things really really really old in winnipeg.
Look that was then this is now, it seems the only people that care about
that are all well over the age of 60 and very middle class and have nothing
better to latch onto. I don't have a problem with that but please don't
involve my hard earned tax dollars in your pie in the sky vision of what you
think winnipeg should be. please try jumping onto how to help our homeless
and less fortunate have a little tiny bit better life than worrying about a
gate that really has no relevance in this day and age.
Ever asked a young person what they know about that fort, bet you the answer
will be nothing. ask them about homeless people! see what the answer is
there!
