According to the spokesperson from MPI on global TV this morning talking about
bicycles and road safety, bicycles are considered vehicles on the road.
They must adhere to all rules of the road, and cars must treat them as such,
even allowing them to take a full lane( by riding in the middle of it) which is
law.
Well if that's the case then they need to start enforcing the rules of the road
concerning the vehicle known as the bicycle.
When was the last time you saw a vehicle driving down a sidewalk, or pulling up
alongside another vehicle in the same lane at the curb? If this is actually the
law that bicycles are vehicles and are to be treated as such, then why are
these vehicles not fined for their illegal activities on the roadway/sidewalk
just as car drivers are when on the roadway?
