Hells Angel killed at strip club; alleged high-ranking Bandido charged

TORONTO (CP) - An alleged high-ranking member of the Bandido biker
gang's Toronto chapter is to appear in court Monday to face a charge of
second-degree murder in the slaying of a member of the rival Hells
Angels gang.

Frank Lenti, 59, appeared briefly in Newmarket, Ont., court on Sunday
and was remanded in custody.

York Regional police allege Lenti was, at least at one point, the
president of the gang's Toronto chapter, but are still determining what
his current role may be.

David Buchanan, 32, a full-patch member of the Hells Angels, was killed
and two other gang members were wounded after shots were fired at Club
Pro, a strip club in Vaughan, Ont., police said.

Post-mortem results on Sunday determined Buchanan was shot in the head
and torso.

"We do know that there was a dispute that was just before this
occurrence," said York Regional Police Det. Sgt. Kevin Torrie.

"That's why he's charged with (second-degree murder) obviously. A
verbal dispute erupted into what we have now."

The charge of second-degree murder implies police do not believe the
killing to have been premeditated.

Julian Sher, author of "Angels of Death," about the Hells Angels, said
there have been times when a biker-related shooting is a case of
tempers flaring, and not necessarily indicative of a gang war brewing.

However, he said, "Bikers are like these bad horror movies. Just when
you think the killing's over, there's always more."

Sher said he can't predict what, if any, retaliation the Hells Angels
might take. They have to weigh their options, he said.

"They're under the gun because of the (recent) wave of arrests and they
can't necessarily afford the bad publicity and the bad blood that would
come from a gang war," he said.

But on the other hand, "The Hells Angels thrive on their notoriety of
never taking crap from anyone. When you're No. 1 you can't afford to
let one, let alone three, of your members get shot and let people get
away with it."

If it turns out the incident had nothing to do with turf, Sher believes
the Hells Angels may hold off on retaliation.

Police are investigating why the Hells Angels members were at the strip
club in the first place.

They said Lenti has ties to Club Pro, but wouldn't confirm media
reports that he is the club's manager.

"We're trying to determine exactly what his association was, but he's
got a long association with Club Pro and the previous Pro Cafe," said
Torrie.

They say he does not appear to have been an employee.

In addition to second-degree murder, Lenti is charged with weapons
offences and attempted murder relating to the shooting.

A prospect member of the gang was taken to hospital with serious
injuries and a third man, a full-patch member, was later found to have
admitted himself to hospital where he was treated for minor wounds and
released.

The Hells Angels' news portal Real Deal News says Buchanan, known as
"Dread," was at Club Pro celebrating his birthday.

Police identified the two wounded men only by their status within the
gang, but the gang's website identified the seriously wounded man as
Carlos Virrilli, 26, and the less injured man as Dana Carnegie, 33.

The website describes Buchanan as a dedicated father of three.

Raposo was one of the eight killed in Ontario a while back. Since the
Hell's Angels have been known to kill strip club owners and extort
strip clubs I wouldn't be surprised if Lenti pleads self-defence. It
was three on one after all. The Bandidos had their charters pulled by
the US club after the massacre but Ontario had its returned soon after.
Lenti is the former president of the Loners MC and was once wounded by
a car bomb he is also a former member of the Satan's Choice MC. The
club where the killing of the HA full patch took place has seen staff
and strippers and Satan's Choice members busted for dealing cocaine in
the past. The Vancouver Sun had run a front page story about a
Bandidos-HAMC war in BC but that never happened and the Bandidos of BC
are no more.

Ottawa South Liberal MP David McGuinty who sits on the Commons
Justice
Committee is calling for the Hell's Angels
to be classified a terrorist organization. HA is involved with
extortion, homicide, kidnapping, prostitution, meth and cocaine
dealing, rape, armed robbery and motorcycle theft and child pornography
as well as phony currency and witness intimidation and obstruction of
justice. They have been known to bribe and scare law enforcement
officers and judges into doing their bidding. These ppl must be rooted
out of the Cdn justice system. Two judges have actually done their job
and declared HAMC a criminal org and the Victoria Times-Colonist is
calling for it to be banned as a terrorist org.

The White Rock chapter Sgt. Of Arms, Villy Roy Lynnerup, recently was
arrested for trying to board an airplane at YVR
with a loaded firearm. Was probably going to crash the plane into the
Downtown courthouse or hold the passengers hostage in exchange for the
release of Moms Boucher and all imprisoned full patch members. All the

Hell's Angels, their supporters, associates etc. should be imprisoned,
their children put in foster care and their assets seized.

Also write letters to editors of local newspapers and your local MP.

As well John Les the solicitor-general of BC has advocated banning the
wearing of gang colours such as biker patches in bars. Since HA is
known to frequent AuBar and the Cecil and has links to various bars in
BC that would be an improvement. The gang has a history of intimidating

bartenders, infiltrating unions involved in the bar industry, beating
and killing strippers and beating customers to death at random for no
reason. Contact your MLA as well as the local media and tell them you
want this implemented sooner rather than later.

VPD is appealing again for info about the homicide of Maria Yvette
Monzon who was shot dead on the westside of Vancouver. She was killed
by HA but the police have never stated that. There is a reward.
