College degree in finance, accounting or management required; advanced degree preferred. . Minimum of five years of Investor Relations experience required; analytical and/or financial experience at a financial institution or internal finance department a plus. . Partners with the VP of IR to develop and enhance communication between the company, its shareholders and members of the financial community (analysts and institutional investors). . Interfaces with internal organizations (legal department, public affairs, operational areas and other areas of communication) to ensure communications activities support company operational goals and objectives. Responsibilities . Collaborates with the VP on message development and strategic positioning to assure consistency among all communicators including public affairs, marketing and others. . Directs the competitive analysis efforts of the department to ensure understanding of the competitive landscape and how the financial community interprets the industry dynamics. Prepares quarterly competitive analysis reports to measure and track key metrics for senior management team. . Directs and executes the collection, analysis and presentation of investor perceptions and opinions, stock price movements and periodic ownership analysis. . Targets prospective institutional owners globally and informs and educates them of the benefits of ownership in Medco; tracks ownership trends. . Manages the tracking, interpretation and comparison of sell-side analyst models to guidance and internal forecasts. . Assists with the preparation of strategic, message-focused and educational slide presentations to the investment community; develops concepts and generates new ideas for presenting information. . Directs the quarterly earnings process and material preparation. . Oversees preparation of materials for the quarterly Board report and ad-hoc reports to the senior team. . Assists VP with the strategy, agenda and content of presentations for Analyst Day. . Manages the Investor Perception study to be conducted yearly with updates as required. . Manages the annual report process in collaboration with marketing. . Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures to ensure Medco is utilizing best practices." . Attends Disclosure Committee meetings when VP not available to attend.
