Motorists swallow up space like a horde of hungry elephants, squeezing
non-motorists into ever more cramped and unsafe environments.
Motorists have managed to hijack the greater part of public space in
our cities over the last few decades for their own antisocial,
destructive needs. But that was not enough for them. Despite
successfully spreading themselves all over the place, they whinge
about how disadvantaged they are compared to other road users, and
demand even more space, preferrably for free.
I can't wait for the excuses I'll get from the motorist who infest

So, find me a bus that goes where I want it to and I'll use it; I would
prefer to travel for free. There is a bus stop at the end of my road, but
the bus doesn't go anywhere near my factory. Indeed, no bus goes closer than
a kilometre from my factory and that is only passing along the nearest A
road. The stops are more like 1.5 km away along busy high speed roads, some
of which have no pavements Cycling would be suicidal, given that it would
involve the same roads, which are old and too narrow for a car to safely
pass a cyclist when there is oncoming traffic, which is almost constantly.

Why do they assume that each car would only contain 1 person?
Why do they assume that each bus carries 80 passengers?
I've made only three or four journeys in the last year by car that have only
contained the driver, and that was only because all the seats and bootspace
were taken up by 'stuff' ...... sheep, hay, fencing etc
I've made a few bus and train journeys and have _never_ seen a full bus,
though I have seen a full train, until it's first stop, then it was
virtually empty.

Do I infest this NG?
Do I start car-related threads? I think it's you, almost single-handedly,
who starts the car-related threads and who 'infests' this NG and tries to
subvert it to your own nefarious purposes.

If you can't beat them, join them. Oh! I forgot, you already have, or
do you only keep your D/L for ID purposes? No that can't be the
reason, you never travel anywhere, everyone in your locality will know
you (the nutter with the bike trailer) therefore ID will not be
necessary.
