We got sterling so could a foreigner say 'you're-a-nation'?

What is the Evidence for Climate Change?

TV and the papers have been full of this all day.

So what exactly is the evidence for Global Warming?

And what exactly is the evidence for man made Global Warming?

My problem is that the politicians and the environmentalists seem to be
a lot more convinced about global warming than the scientists.

However, the scientist I do find most compelling is James Lovelock (the
environmentalists hate him because of his support for nuclear power)
and his predictions make grim reading indeed, basically we don't need
to do anything because all mankind is stuffed already.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Lovelock

I dislike the way the environment has become the last refuge of the
Socialist, I mean reading the Green Party manifesto is pure Trotsky.

I would love to save the planet but no way for a bunch of Trotskyites,
I'd rather go under the rising oceans.

Finally, does anyone think that Jeremy Clarkson's contributions are
adding to the debate?

Was that neccessary? If that is the level of debate that the human race
has reached then perhaps extinction is the best option!

No perhaps the OP lives in a Brothel with a display window then the
comment would be both factually and technically correct.

Look, i'm not a noob. I know your game. But seriously. Only an idiot
would deny that the climate is changing and that it is in everyones
interest to try and alter it. Still, I'll laugh my ass off when you
get flooded or die from a cancer-related death. ahahaha.

Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming for a reasonably
helpful summary of it.

The fact is that no-one knows with certainty what is going to happen, but
the general consensus is that global warming is happening, and could (but
won't necessarily) end up having devastating effects. We don't know how bad
those effects will be, and they might not be all that bad after all, but do
you want to take the risk? If we do a whole load of stuff about climate
change and we're wrong, we'll have wasted our time and money. If we don't do
anything and we're wrong, millions of people will die. To quote Clint
Eastwood: "The question is, do you feel lucky?"
