What a nightmare.

Date: Dec 20, 2007 15:45

I agreed to pick my grandfather up from the station today as he felt that it
would be easier to get the train down than have the long drive. (No doubt
partly pleasing Doug) Unfortunately there was a signal failure on the east
coast main line just south of Chesterfield resulting in his train terminating
at Sheffield, not that it was announced at the station where we were waiting
for him, we only found out when 10 mins after his train was due to arrive it
was listed as cancelled. So after eventually tracking down someone who knew
we were informed that there was a problem (unspecified) and that a
replacement coach service would be in operation adding about an hour to the
journey. At this point I go and move the car as the station charge

I've previously posted about the "Chief Whizz Kid"
of Firth Consulting, whose skills most reputable organisations in the UK can
happily do without.
