I pass over a minor road connecting to a major road each morning
( turning left). The main road is normally nose to tail and traffic
filters in from the side road. Not a lot of cars turn right so when
someone who wants to shows up they normally overtake the traffic
wanting to turn left. This would be fine if the road was a bit wider,
and two rows of cars could fit in one lane, but to do so they need to
go onto the wrong side of the road, often before they can see its
clear to the junction. As its a bus route and is also frequented by a
bin lorry it can get quite interesting in the mornings as drivers find
themselves racing towards large heavy buses, going at full pelt as its
a steep hill and they want to keep their momentum.
