About time too.
"Parents doing the school-run in Essex could have their cars towed
away if they cause "parking chaos".
Essex Police said they will be "forced to take drastic action and
remove offending vehicles" outside schools in Corringham and Stanford-
le-Hope.
The move comes after drivers reportedly blocked pavements and
driveways and parked on pedestrian crossings.
Drivers will be given warnings, in place for a year, and will see
their vehicle taken if another breach occurs..."

So yet another car thread Doug?
Tell me, in what way is this different to what happens already? The police
have had the authority to remove vehicles causing an obstruction for many
years.

It's long past time that the police acted against inconsiderate and
stupid parking, whether it's outside schools or elsewhere. I'd also like
to see them prosecuting drivers who drive without due care and
attention, particularly around the school run when most of them drive
like blind fuckwits.
Did you have a point, other than the one on top of your head?

I'd like to see them do all the people that reverse off their
driveways every damn morning. 10ft of car across pavement, boot
hanging into road and still can't see for the damn shrubbery they have
planted to block their view.

What about the fuckers who keep blocking my drive? I'm sick of having to
knock on doors because some neighbour's mate has blocked us in. It's
usually the same neighbour though, I always go there first now. I told
them that if I had to rush a family member to hospital and a car's
blocking me in I'll just drive through it, I don't give a fuck.

Ooh yes, them as well.

How hard is it for the morons in question to reverse into their drive? I
used to have a house with a drive that was too narrow to turn around in,
and needed to get a LWB Land Rover, a Citroen BX and a Mercedes onto the
drive each day. It realy was child's play to reverse park all three and
any of the drivers in the house could do it.
