Student who drove 105mph in a 30mph zone given just 'disgusting' two month ban

Truly disgusting. Is there no limit to how lightly potentially lethal
motorists are being punished?

"A student has walked free from court after he was caught speeding at
105mph in a 30mph zone.

Semir Nezirovic, 20, was clocked by a mobile camera as he shot past it
in his red Renault Megane.

He faced up to six months in prison for the offence, yet was banned
from driving for just two months and ordered to retake his test..."

Yet another car thread before answering the questions that you've already
been asked, Doug?

so he was banned from driving and had to do community service. Its
sounds on the light side but its not like he wasn't punished. And
once he's passed his test he'll have the 2 year probationary period
where he'd lose his license at 6 points not 12.

Heck you see people committing violent assault on live TV and they
don't even get charged so its not like motorists enjoy a privileged
status.

It was a temporary speed limit on a dual carriageway. Not an urban
street with pedestrians and cyclists.

How many people were hurt or killed?

He also got 120 hours of community service.

If it was a first offence, that's about par for the course, especially
since the circumstances appear to be such that no-one other than the
defendent was in any real danger.

This is absolute nonsense Doug, as you know. The motorists you invariably
describe are rarer than lottery winners.

What about the vast majority of us who drive a car because we need to get to
work, so that you can eat?
