Just when you think he's covered everything Doug fouls up by missing a
relevant story.

"Petrol strike to leave motorists without fuel"

Strike action by tanker drivers could close hundreds of petrol forecourts
within days.

A walkout by 650 drivers would again strand motorists in many parts of the
country without fuel. It comes weeks after the Grangemouth refinery dispute,
which hit forecourts in the North.

This latest dispute could affect 1,000 forecourts, as well as several
hundred industrial outlets.

The drivers, who supply the vast majority of Shell forecourts, are calling
for a pay rise of 13 per cent. The company, Hoyer UK, has offered 6 per
cent. "

You're forgetting that that salary is for a 55hr week, not a 40 hour
one and that the national average wage is based on a 40hr week so their
call for a salary 1.5 times the national average brings us in line to
the national average based on an average working week in haulage of
53hrs. Do you think £36k is a decent wage for a 53hr week?
Hell, at Stobbies I was on £28.5k for a 44hr week for doing nothing
more than putting trailers on loading bays. Likewise I got £33k for
doing a 50hr week trunking parcels down to Birmingham and back 5 nights
a week.

It's driving petrol tankers and is quite specialist, requiring the
drivers to go on courses on handling dangerous chemicals etc.
Personally, I don't think £38k is anywhere near enough for driving
30,000 litres of highly flammable liquid down the road with all the
cunts in cars doing their best to try and cause an accident due to
their impatience and fuckwittery.

I'm not forgetting as I didn't know. Remember I said I was refrain
from judgment until I was better furnished with facts. That aside
their public support will however be based on what the papers report
and given the state of journalism, and its love for sales increasing
headlines, its much more likely Joe Public will be told its a call for
1.5 times the national average... without the difference in hours
proviso...

How can the old fuck-wit be expected to find that when it is in a
reputable news source?

It's OK. He's made up for it by starting TWO new threads about it.
