What is two miles? Certainly not the tunnel.

Why not?

Oh I see. So instead of looking at a map and using your intelligence
you are using a notoriously unreliable navigation aid. That explains
it. Something else you have failed to consider is which part of
Wapping and which part of Surrey Quays.
Now perhaps you would care to consider Canary Wharf to Surrey Quays,
without getting off your bike, i.e. excluding the nasty foot tunnel
and stairs.

Explain? Why shouldn't I be allowed to cycle in the same way I can on
other bridges and why do you consider it to be preferable to be
ferried in a polluting Land Rover?
