That should keep the tiff-raff of the roads so the rich can have an extra
hour in bed, great idea.

I shall be chuckling driving to work in my Roller knowing
that middle classes, (working class people with a job) are forced off
the roads they have already paid for just so I can have a nice quick and
easy journey to work whilst they are struggling on public transport (yuck)
and the like.

Ah tis a great life!

On the face of it improving PT (Metrolink figuring large) could provide
viable alternative to driving into Manchester.

The "tiff-raff" can't afford two pints of beer or part of a packet
of fags a day?

Come come, I prefer what Huge called them some long time ago - middle
class German tourists. That just about sums it up...

I often hear of some motorists claiming VED aka road tax pays for the
roads, and some motorists do claim this gives them greater rights.

Doug note the use of the word "some" in the above sentence.

Which will only entrench the idea in the heads of some motorists that
they own the roads, creating antagonism between some motorists and non-
motorists.
You would love that though. More antagonism will give you more
ammunition in your whine-a-thons.
