Pressure grows on airlines as fuel suppliers demand cash in advance.

About time the screws were tightened on this frivolous and damaging
hypermobility.

"Airlines are being forced to pay cash in advance for jet fuel as the
major oil companies tighten the screws on an industry that is being
crushed by an extraordinary surge in the price of crude oil.

Sources within the airline industry indicate that credit is being
denied to most of the leading American carriers and the practice is
moving to Europe and Asia. So uncertain is the cash solvency of the
industry that jet fuel suppliers insist on prepayments into special
bank accounts..."

There speaks the man who flew to North Africa for the sole purpose of riding
a motorcycle with the most polluting form of motor vehicle engine around one
of the most fragile eco-systems in the world for no reason other than his
own pleasure.

Nothing new there. There was a story at least ten years ago where an
airport refused permission for an airliner to take off until one of
the passengers paid for the fuel himself with his Access/American
express card.

I suspect that the price of your food and water will also be going up
once again Doug.

So why do you keep supporting it by buying airfreighted food?

2 + 2 = 5?

He can't get to grips with him wanting food flown in by air increasing
air usage( which he must do as he claims that vit C breaks down so
fast its impossible to store food for any length of time)

How long was it he thought it would be before all the lovely vit C was
gone? I can't remember, was it as long as a week?

As I keep on pointing out, air freighted food is a tiny proportion of
all food miles and you probably use it too, because of a lack of
proper food labelling, hypocrite.

Cars are the main contributor to food miles at 48%%.
