I just wish this Government was honest with its tax - a hundred hidden rises
and talks about decreasing the basic rate of tax

That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. I just wish the Tories would be
honest about tax under Labour.

Better still stop using so much fuel.

Better start eating food obtained locally and not shipped around the
world... After all that would use much less petrol and diesel...

I'm sure this sounds "a romantic ideal" to the Dougs of this world - the
reality?
poverty,starvation and life expectancy halved

I'm not sure I follow you. Poverty, starvation and half our life
expectancy is the norm for most of the places we ship food in from.
If we bought more locally then you get a wide range of quality goods
but with less pollution.

The countries we buy from are getting ravaged by the big buyers like
supermarkets and would be better off with more sustainable economic
models anyways.

Yes, to Doug this is a romantic ideal, provided the
"poverty, starvation and life expectancy halved" happens only to other
people. Doug will continue to import his foodstuffs from around the
world, thank you very much.
