I was sad to read of the death of "Safespeed" Paul Smith ...

since he died naturally instead of being hit by a speeding car.
That would have been more appropriate.

His website had a link for submitting suggestions on how to avoid
speeding tickets, but he never published my 100%% foolproof one.
It's simple.

Drive at the speed limit.

Not rocket science.

Yawn. You missed your chance to crow at an unfortunate death some weeks
ago when the death occurred. Feel free to beat off while reading the
posts of that thread, but dont bother the rest of us by bringing up old
old old old news, okay?

At risk of dredging up an old thread, although I might personally miss
the wanker, I did admire his stance. If we had more cyclists like him,
life would be far better for cyclists.

No, it wouldn't. He was as destructive to the group he espoused as to the
rest of society. He was one of the very few people of whom it can honestly
be said 'he had no redeeming features'.

Well, yeah, I'd be up there agreeing with you, but he got up on his soap
box and brought the speed camera thing to national attention, got prime
time air coverage, and generally put across his point of view.

Having read your profile I think pots, kettles and black come to mind,
it's dickheads like you that caused the creation of the speed limit.
