They are ex-wartime DUKWs, not normally adapted for rail though. I remember
seeing a couple as kid in Jersey in the mid 50s running tours out to
Elizabeth Castle when the tide was over the causeway. The adaption for
passneger comfort was bench seats.

Sails don't work well on canals but horses would still be practical, perhaps
even marketable as a green alternative.
