Remember Donne:-
"No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes
me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know
for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
Surely to revel in her suffering and death is to become like her. She
believed that we all are islands. And she was given the power to make
it so.
Besides which, I don't relish the thought of my own pain and/or
death.
