A Spanair flight departing from T2 in Madrid experienced am incident on take
off (believed to be an engine fire) today resulting in an aborted take off
and a cabin fire, there are currently no know fatalities.

of 50 fatalities.

made light of on this NG in the past when a plane crashed at Heathrow.
I don't see why frivolous travel should be allowed to endanger the
lives of innocent people, as well as pollute and waste non-
renewables.
