Well in that case I don't know why hauliers don't get organised to
protest agian, it will be too late protesting after they've gone out
of business. I know the onus is always on them, but thats because they
did it before, but also because they are in groups. It seems
impossible to organise random motorists who arn't part of any group.

It seems like the industy just wants to sit back and let it happen,
like they want to be put of of business. The coal miners might not
have got what they wanted, but to give them thier dues, they went on
strike and stayed on strike. Thats how its got to be, one day action
is no good. The country can manage for one day. But not for weeks or
months.

The protesters should never have gave in when they did, they were
wrong to trust the government when they said they would do something.
If they had carried on, brought the country to its knees, then Browm &
Blair would have taken them seriously and would have had to cut duty
by a big ammount and would be scared if it was ever mentioned agian.
But now, I don't think Brown would be that bothered by the threat of
fuel protests, as he would think they'd give up aigan before he had to
do anything.

A new protest needs to be done, this time bigger, hauliers, farmers,
motorists, etc and this time a real protest, one that lasts a long
time, one that really hits the government and brings the country to a
stand still, then Brown would have to take it seriously.

The Poll Tax protests worked, so it can be done.
