Motorway signs

While watching the programme "Motorway" on BBC4 tonight, the graphic
designer who designed motorway signs said (if I caught it correctly)
the background was "Ultramarine Blue" with "Zinc White" lettering.

Does anyone know what the official font is?

Two fonts are used on motorways.
Motorway Permanent - For the road numbers.
Transport Medium - For everything else.

You can download them here - http://www.cbrd.co.uk/media/fonts/
