Point 1. The only way I could downsize to one, which would not be very
satisfactory, would be to buy a very expensive computer, a load of
slow emulation software and probably lots of new application software.
Even then I doubt it would have the speed and flexibility of several
computers.

Point 2. What am I supposed to do with my old and still servicable
computers which run a range of platforms?

Point 3. Even four computers consume very much less energy than a car.
Hypocrite motorists please take note.
