Less demand for Truckers?

Been on the forums at house price crash uk. One of the posters there
mentions that his brother in law ( has his own rig/buiness) has been
getting quiet and its go so bad he'll sell the truck and work for an
agency.

Have any of the truckers on the group noticed a slowdown? ( possibly
a temp one as firms work to get rid of stock thats not been selling as
people dig in)

Could be Nirvana for Doug. Everyone suffers and people travel less.
Double result for the champion of misery.

Yeah its got quiet but its mostly for those who haul anything related
to building work.

Container boys are still busy, with the shipping firms still
advertising for subbies, as are the fridge brigade but if you're
hauling timber, bricks, kitchens etc or running concrete mixers,
there's been a definite downturn.

Look carefully and you will see I have already replied to that thread.

Farmers generally drive Range Rovers since these are obviously "agricultural
equipment" and thus offsettable against tax, as is the "emergency water
reservoir" which you or I would probably call "the swimming pool in the back
garden".

There are grants for building emergency water reserves. I'm planning
mine at the moment, complete with diving board.
