Peter Messen knocked down and killed Gary Green whilst cycling furiously
on the pavement, see the BBC news.
I see that a cyclist that killed a pedestrian has got off very lightly
without even a custodial sentence, perhaps they should be called cyclist
terrorist. I be Dug finds some excuse for him. He was given a year
suspended for two years.

Apparently he was 'a vulnerable young man with learning difficulties' - not
as vulnerable the dead pedestrian though... disgustingly light sentence.
Cue Hanson telling us why his death wasn't as bad as a car crash victim....

Nice try, but it simply tells us something about you.

No comment on the sentence?

The sentence was unduly lenient, despite all the excuses trotted out
by the defence.
>perhaps they should be called cyclist terrorist.
Who are they?
If you mean cyclists then presumably you also call motorists
terrorists due to all the pedestrians they kill.

Maybe you're beginning to understand the point. If, because a motorist kills
a pedestrian, all motorists are therefore branded terrorists, it only
follows that if a cyclist kills a pedestrian, all cyclists must therefore
branded terrorists. Either that, or employ a more appropriate (and accurate)
use of language. I prefer the latter approach.

I'm confused. Neither comment tells me anything about anyone!

It was a little bit more in the jigsaw. Based on the bits already
assembled, Hansen will almost certainly never condemn that killer,
because he (the killer) was on two wheels on the footway, meaning that
as far as Hansen is concerned, and on the basis of everything he has
ever written here and in similar places, that was perfectly OK and the
pedestrian had it coming if he didn't get out of the way.
If I'm wrong, and if he is prepared to condemn the actions of the
killer, he has an opportunity to make that clear in response to this.
But I don't think he will.

Duhg already does that. The soubriquet cyclist terrorist is in honour of
Duhg.
