It shouldn't do. It was clear enough on the application form, IIRC - and
it's not as if the expiry of photo ID is an alien concept to anybody with
a passport.

That's because it is. The right to drive vehicles of various groups is
still valid.

It is. The photocard isn't. FFS, who looks even VAGUELY similar at 70 as
they did at 17?
FFS, my photocard's dated 2002. Does it look like me today? Not much, no.

When i got mine it had blurb saying it would need renewed and the
license had the date on it.

It certainly is. Fine of up to a grand, IIRC, for the driving licence,
plus however much for failure to notify for any V5Cs.

I haven't updated my license since I got it. I suppose they could fine
me a grand if they knew where to find me. But they don't , so they
can't. *shrug*

I dunno if the wrong address _invalidated_ the licence. Probably not -
that'd be a bit draconian...
But if he ever gets a producer or an FPN, he's in for a shock.
