It's a rabid Vegetationist who dominates this transport newsgroup.

No need. It's perfectly normal for graves to be moved with due respect
for the remains. The railway went through the graveyard of Leeds
Parish Church Ca 1830 on an embankment without so much as a murmur
from the occupants. The headstones were simply taken up and laid
against the railway embankment and are still there.

Gravespaces (Certainly round here) are only leased for 50 years after
the last burial in the grave. Is it by any chance an old graveyard? It
would help if you gave a proper cite.

Usually after 50 years all the "loved ones" will have passed away like
you will in the next few months.

Won't need to worry about heating bills where you're going will you ?
